The Camera Fundamentals Workshop is a practical, intensive training designed to help you understand your camera and use it with confidence.
You'll learn the essential camera settings, operating principles, and techniques professional photographers use every day to create sharp, properly exposed, and visually compelling images.
This is more than a classroom session—you'll practice what you learn, receive expert guidance, and get direct feedback to help you immediately improve your photography.
Workshop Structure:
Session 1: Camera Setup & Understanding Your Camera (10:00 AM – 12:30 PM)
Understanding Your Camera
Learn the essential parts, buttons, Dial modes, menus so you can confidently operate your camera.
Camera Settings
Know how to choose right shooting modes for your scene, Set your camera to achieve accurate colors, the best shooting format, and also manipulate the camera for best image quality
Lenses & Focusing
Understand the lens that comes with your camera and Configure your camera to consistent achieve sharp focused images. Know when you use the manual and Autofocus
Short Break (12:30PM – 12:45PM)
- Stretch, refresh, and connect with other participants.
Session 2: Taking Better Photographs (12:15PM – 2:30PM)
Mastering Exposure:
Learn how to achieve the perfect brightness using the Exposure Triangle:
Shutter Speed, Aperture, ISO.
Composition Techniques:
Learn how to create better-looking professional photographs through:
Subject Placement, Rule of Thirds, Angles & Perspective and Framing Techniques.
Practical Photography:
Apply your knowledge by taking photographs in different environments:
Outdoor, Indoor, Group Photography
Lunch Break (2:30PM – 3:30PM)
- Refreshments and Student Practise
Session 3 (3:30 PM – 4:00 PM)
Basic Photo Editing Workflow:
Learn simple techniques to improve your images through:
Image Selection, Basic Adjustments, Color Correction, Exporting Your Photos.
Workshop Outcome:
By the end of this workshop, you'll confidently use your camera to capture well-exposed, sharp, and beautiful photographs in different environments.
